The story behind the ball

The "3D type" number balls were developed and manufactured by the minigolf production company 3D in Austria. Behind the numbering is a system that allows the balls to be categorized according to their properties. Each of the three numbers stands for a categorization of the three different properties in the following order: bounce height (0–9), hardness (2–7), weight (1–6). The higher the first number, the faster the ball. The higher the second number, the harder the ball. The higher the third number, the heavier the ball. Accordingly, the 3D type 974 number ball can be classified as very fast, hard, and medium-weight.

Ball care
