The "3D type" - number balls were developed and manufactured by the minigolf production company 3D in Austria. Behind the numbering is a system that allows the balls to be categorized according to their properties. Each of the three numbers represents a categorization of the three different properties in the following order: rebound height (0–9), hardness (2–7), weight (1–6). The higher the first number, the faster the ball. The higher the second number, the harder the ball. The higher the third number, the heavier the ball.
